1. What data is processed?

Visual Studio App Center
Our app uses crash reports from Visual Studio App Center, a service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA, 98052-6399, USA. This service collects information such as country code, language, manufacturer, and version of the operating system, as well as details about the installed version of our app. Additionally, we receive detailed crash reports in case the app unexpectedly stops.

Location Data
The app accesses location data to implement features such as Geofencing. The location data is stored only on the device and not in a database. If the "Ventilation Position" feature is activated, the app transmits location data to a third party to receive current weather data. This transmission is solely for functionality purposes.

Camera Access
The app uses the camera to scan QR codes, enabling the convenient import of device credentials. No images are stored, and the scanned data is not shared with third parties.

Email Address and Password
The app uses your email address and password to enable login and synchronize your Smart-Home device data. The password is not stored but used solely for authentication during login. Your data is processed exclusively for these purposes and is not shared with third parties.

Smart-Home Synchronization
For the synchronization of your Smart-Home devices, data such as the device’s name, serial number, UID, password, and the email addresses of guests are stored. This data is stored in an encrypted format. The use of this data is to send commands to Smart-Home devices and to respond to requests from voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Alexa. No data is shared with third parties.

2. Data Sharing with Third Parties

Your data is shared with third-party providers only to the extent necessary to execute the functions described above. We work with a service provider that processes location data to return weather information. No further sharing of data with third parties takes place.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

We store your personal data only as long as it is necessary to provide the app's functionalities. Location data and crash reports are deleted after being processed. You can request the deletion of your data at any time by uninstalling the app or by contacting us.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to request information at any time about the data stored with us, as well as to request correction, deletion, or restriction of the processing of your data. Please contact our data protection officer at kontakt@nodedevices.de.
